JKSSB Issues Important Instructions for Candidates Appearing in PST/PET for Forest Department Posts

The Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB) has issued an important notice containing instructions for candidates scheduled to appear in the Physical Standard Test (PST) and Physical Endurance Test (PET) for various posts in the Forest Department.

The notice, dated September 3, 2026, concerns candidates whose PST and PET are being conducted by JKSSB from September 7 to September 13, 2026. Candidates have been advised to strictly follow the instructions issued by the Board and report at the designated venues according to the date and time mentioned on their Admit Cards.

JKSSB PST and PET Schedule for Candidates

According to the notice, the Physical Standard Test (PST) for shortlisted candidates appearing in Kashmir will be conducted on September 7, 2026, at Government Boys Higher Secondary School Jawahar Nagar, Srinagar.

Candidates who qualify the PST will subsequently undergo the Physical Endurance Test (PET) on September 8, 2026, at Ring Road Wathora Chadoora, Budgam.

For candidates appearing in Jammu, the PST will be conducted on September 11, 2026, at the J&K Services Selection Board, Central Office, Akhnoor Road, Muthi, Jammu.

Candidates who qualify the Jammu PST will appear for the PET from September 12 to September 13, 2026, at Domana New Bypass Road, Jammu.

The Board has specifically instructed candidates to report at the venue strictly according to the date and time mentioned on their Admit Cards.

Reporting Time for PET

JKSSB has prescribed a specific reporting window for candidates appearing in the Physical Endurance Test.

Candidates are required to report at the designated PET venue between 5:30 AM and 7:00 AM on the date mentioned on their Admit Cards.

The notice makes it clear that no candidate will be permitted to enter the venue after 7:00 AM under any circumstances. Candidates have therefore been advised to reach the venue well before the closing time.

Early arrival has also been recommended to provide candidates with sufficient time for verification and other pre-test formalities.

Food and Personal Belongings

Candidates appearing for the PET may carry snacks, eatables and other light food items for their personal consumption.

However, the Board has stated that such food items will not be permitted beyond the designated Start Point of the PET track.

A cloak room facility will be made available at the designated venue or venues so that candidates can keep their personal belongings during the test.

JKSSB has advised candidates to avoid carrying valuables and unnecessary items to the venue. The Board has also clarified that it will not be responsible for any loss of or damage to personal belongings.

Shuttle Bus Services for PET

For the convenience of candidates appearing for the PET in Jammu, JKSSB will arrange shuttle bus services from the designated Start Point on the Akhnoor-Samba Ring Road to the PET test site.

Similar shuttle bus arrangements will be made for candidates appearing for the PET in the Kashmir Division.

According to the notice, shuttle services for Kashmir candidates will operate from the JKSSB Central Office at ZamZam Complex, Rambagh, Srinagar, to the test site at Ring Road Wathora, Chadoora, Budgam.

The last shuttle bus will leave the designated spots in both Jammu and Srinagar before 6:15 AM.

Drinking Water and ORS Arrangements

The JKSSB will make arrangements for drinking water and ORS at designated points along the PET track to facilitate candidates during the endurance test.

Candidates will also be permitted to carry their own drinking water during the PET.

However, the notice specifies that the bottle must be transparent and should be intended strictly for the candidate’s personal consumption.

Candidates Advised to Follow Instructions

The Board has advised candidates to report well in advance of the prescribed reporting time and strictly follow the instructions of officials deployed at the venue.

Candidates have also been asked to carefully read the instructions contained in their Admit Cards and comply with all instructions issued by JKSSB from time to time.

The directions are intended for candidates scheduled to participate in the PST and PET being conducted for various Forest Department posts during the September 7 to September 13, 2026 period.

The notice was issued by the Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board under notice number JKSSB-CO0EXAM(UT)/14/2026-03 (7842028) and is dated September 3, 2026.

It has been signed by Reyaz Ahmad Malik (JKAS), Controller of Examinations, Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board.

The notice has also been circulated to concerned government departments, the Director of Information & Public Relations, members and officers of the JKSSB, and other concerned offices for information and necessary action.

Candidates appearing for the PST and PET are advised to keep their Admit Cards ready, follow the reporting schedule applicable to them, and comply with the venue-specific instructions issued by the Board.
