JKBOPEE Provisional Selection List 2026 Released for B.Sc Nursing & Paramedical Courses; Check Admission Dates

The Jammu & Kashmir Board of Professional Entrance Examinations (J&K BOPEE) has released the Provisional Selection List of candidates for admission to B.Sc Nursing, B.Sc Paramedical and B.Sc Technology Courses-2026 in various Government and Private Colleges and Institutions across the Union Territories of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh.

The selection list has been issued following the 3rd/Mop-up round of online counselling conducted for the 2026 admission cycle. The notification has been issued as Notification No. 175-BOPEE of 2026, dated September 2, 2026. The Board has made the provisional list available through Annexure A, which contains the details of candidates provisionally allotted seats in different disciplines and institutions.

Candidates included in the list are required to carefully follow the admission schedule and complete the necessary formalities within the deadline prescribed by J&K BOPEE. The Board has also specified the procedure for representations, document verification, physical reporting, joining, cancellation of admission and online admission through the BOPEE portal.

J&K BOPEE Notification No. 175-BOPEE of 2026

The latest notification follows Notification No. 162-BOPEE of 2026 dated August 23, 2026, through which the Board had notified the schedule for the third/Mop-up round of online counselling.

According to the notification, candidates were allowed to submit their online preferences and choices from August 23, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. onwards, until midnight of August 25, 2026. The counselling exercise was conducted for filling seats in B.Sc Nursing, B.Sc Paramedical and B.Sc Technology Courses-2026.

Following the counselling process, the Board has now published the provisional allotment list. The list includes candidates who have been provisionally allotted seats in Government and Private Colleges and Institutions of the UT of Jammu & Kashmir.

The notification states that the provisional selection list is contained in Annexure A and is available on the official website of J&K BOPEE. The annexure provides candidate-wise information, including roll number, application number, name, gender, category, rank, discipline and institution allotted.

The document runs across 151 pages, with Annexure A containing the detailed candidate allotment information. The final entries in the annexure carry serial numbers up to 2655, with the last listed candidate shown at serial number 2655 and rank 24,993.

Candidates Can Submit Representations Against Provisional Selection List

As per the notification, any candidate wishing to make a representation against the position assigned in the provisional selection list may do so up to September 3, 2026, by 4:00 p.m.

The Board has further clarified that if a genuine representation is received, a separate notification will be issued for the Revised Selection List.

This means candidates should not assume that a revision will automatically be issued. The notification specifically links the possibility of a revised list to the receipt of a genuine representation. If no further notification is issued, the provisional Annexure A will be treated as final.

Admission Reporting From September 5

Candidates provisionally selected through the counselling process are required to report to their assigned colleges or institutions within the admission window fixed by the Board.

According to Notification No. 175-BOPEE of 2026, provisionally selected candidates should report to their allotted institutions from September 5, 2026, at 11:30 a.m. through September 7, 2026, up to 5:00 p.m.

Candidates are required to carry their relevant certificates in original while reporting to the assigned college or institution.

The reporting process is an important part of completing the admission formalities. The notification also requires institutions to process admissions through the prescribed BOPEE online admission system within the stipulated period.

Candidates should therefore ensure that they do not wait until the final hours of the admission period to complete the required formalities.

Documents Required at the Time of Admission

The notification specifies a number of documents that provisionally selected candidates are required to produce at the time of admission.

The documents specifically mentioned by the Board include:

Domicile Certificate of UT of J&K or UT of Ladakh, as applicable.

For candidates of UT of Ladakh, an ST certificate issued by the Competent Authority of Ladakh shall be treated as the Domicile Certificate.

Qualifying marks certificate of Class 12th.

Date of Birth Certificate, based on Matriculation from a recognized Board.

Reserved Category Certificate, wherever applicable.

Any other documents that may be required by the concerned college or institution.

Validity of Category Certificates

J&K BOPEE has also specified the date relevant to the validity of category certificates for the admission process.

The notification states that the validity of the Category Certificate shall be April 9, 2026, which was the last date fixed by the Board for filling the online application form for the B.Sc Nursing, B.Sc Paramedical and B.Sc Technology Course-2026.

Candidates belonging to reserved categories should therefore ensure that the relevant certificate satisfies the requirements specified by the Board and the admission process.

The responsibility of verifying such documents has also been placed on the concerned colleges and institutions.

Admission Eligibility Conditions

The eligibility conditions for admission to the courses covered by the latest provisional selection list remain those specified in the earlier admission framework.

The notification states that eligibility conditions for admission shall be as mentioned in Notification No. 045-BOPEE of 2026 dated March 25, 2026, along with the e-Information Brochure available on the J&K BOPEE website.

Therefore, the latest notification primarily deals with the provisional allotment and subsequent admission process following the third/Mop-up counselling round. It does not replace the eligibility requirements contained in the earlier notification and information brochure.

Candidates are advised to follow the applicable eligibility and admission provisions while completing their admission formalities.

Colleges Asked to Complete Admissions Within Deadline

The Board has directed the concerned colleges and institutions to facilitate completion of the admission process within the prescribed cut-off date of September 7, 2026.

The notification states that the concerned colleges and institutions shall keep their admission counters open on holidays or off days where necessary to facilitate candidates in completing the admission process within the prescribed time.

At the same time, candidates have been advised in their own interest not to wait for the last day to complete their admission formalities through the online admission portal.

The Board has pointed out that delays in completing the process could cause hardship to candidates. The instructions therefore place emphasis on completing the admission process well before the deadline.

The Heads of the concerned Colleges and Institutions have also been advised to ensure that all admissions are made through the JKBOPEE Portal within the stipulated time.

Admission Is Purely Provisional

One of the important conditions mentioned in the notification is that admission under the provisional selection list remains subject to verification.

The Board states that admission of candidates is purely provisional and shall be cancelled if any information furnished by a candidate is found to be false or fabricated.

In such cases, action as warranted under the applicable rules shall be initiated against the concerned candidate.

This condition applies to information and documents submitted by candidates during the admission process. Candidates are therefore required to ensure that the information and documents provided by them are accurate and genuine.

Reserved Category Seat Allotment

The notification also explains the basis on which discipline and institution allotment has been made for reserved category candidates.

According to the Board, the allotment of seats in respect of reserved category candidates has been made in accordance with the provisions of S.O. 176 of 2024 dated March 15, 2024, read with S.O. 305 dated May 21, 2024.

The provision is specifically mentioned in the notification in connection with the allotment of seats to reserved category candidates.

The provisional selection list itself identifies candidate categories and, where applicable, the category against which a seat has been allotted.

Special Medical Board Provision for Candidates With Disability

Where a person with disability has been selected in open merit or under a reserved category, the concerned college or institution is required to refer the relevant case to the concerned Medical College for constitution of a Special Medical Board.

The notification states that the concerned colleges shall take further necessary action based on the recommendations of the Special Medical Board.

If a candidate does not fulfil the required benchmark of disability, the candidate shall not be admitted to the course or college, and the matter is to be reported to J&K BOPEE.

This requirement is included among the instructions that colleges and institutions must follow while processing admissions.

Provisional Allotment Letter Must Be Downloaded

Candidates who have been allotted seats are required to download their Provisional Allotment Letter.

After downloading the allotment letter, candidates must physically report to their allotted institution with the original documents required for admission.

The purpose of the physical reporting is to complete the admission formalities at the concerned institution.

The institution is required to issue a Joining Certificate to candidates who complete the admission process.

Candidates have also been advised to verify their joining status on the BOPEE portal.

What Happens If a Candidate Does Not Join by September 7?

Candidates who have been allotted seats must complete the joining process within the stipulated period.

The notification specifically states that if a seat has been allotted to a candidate and the candidate does not join the concerned institution within the prescribed period, the allotted seat shall be treated as cancelled.

The final deadline specified by the Board is September 7, 2026, at 5:00 p.m.

Once the seat is treated as cancelled due to failure to join within the stipulated period, the candidate's claim over the allotted seat shall cease.

Candidates who intend to retain their allotted seats should therefore complete the required admission and joining formalities within the prescribed schedule.

Admission Cancellation Facility

The Board has also provided a mechanism for candidates who receive admission but subsequently decide to cancel their admission.

A candidate who has already obtained admission in an institution and intends to cancel it may submit an admission cancellation application on or before the last date fixed by BOPEE for reporting and joining.

For this round, that deadline is September 7, 2026, at 5:00 p.m.

The concerned institution is required to upload the admission cancellation application on the admission portal and cancel the candidate's admission.

The candidate can subsequently verify the admission cancellation status on the portal.

The notification makes clear that once the admission is cancelled through this process, the allotted seat will be treated as cancelled.

No Fee for Seat Cancellation During Counselling

Another important instruction concerns cancellation charges.

According to the notification, no fee shall be charged from a candidate by the institution for cancellation of a seat during any round of counselling.

While the notification specifies the broad list of documents required for admission, the Board has also advised provisionally selected candidates to contact their concerned college or institution regarding fees and documents required by the institution before the last date of admission.

This is particularly relevant for candidates who have received allotments to different Government or Private Colleges and Institutions.

The candidate-wise annexure includes a wide range of institutions, including Government medical and nursing colleges as well as private nursing and paramedical institutions.

Candidates should therefore check the institution against which their name appears in Annexure A and complete the required admission process within the prescribed timeline.

All Admissions Must Be Processed Through the BOPEE Portal

The Board has made it clear that admissions under this process are to be completed through the JKBOPEE online admission portal.

The notification states that all admissions for the courses covered by the selection list shall be made through the online admission portal only.

Admissions made through offline mode will not be accepted.

The Nodal Officers of the concerned institutions and colleges are required to verify documents uploaded on the BOPEE online admission portal, along with other documents required for admission, before allowing a candidate to join.
