SKUAST-K Issues Circular for Student Registration on Apprenticeship India Portal Under NAPS

Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences & Technology of Kashmir (SKUAST-K), Main Campus Shalimar, Srinagar, has issued a circular regarding the registration of students on the Apprenticeship India Portal under the National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme (NAPS).
The circular, issued by the Office of the Registrar, encourages eligible students to register themselves on the Apprenticeship India Portal and explore suitable apprenticeship opportunities available through the platform.
SKUAST-K Apprenticeship Registration Circular
According to the university circular, the National Apprenticeship Scheme of the Government of India provides students with an opportunity to undertake apprenticeship training with eligible establishments.
The scheme is intended to provide students with practical exposure and workplace experience. The circular also states that students can receive admissible benefits or stipends under the scheme.
SKUAST-K has therefore encouraged students to make use of the Apprenticeship India Portal for registration and to explore apprenticeship opportunities that may be available through the platform.
Students have been advised to register themselves on the Apprenticeship India Portal at www.apprenticeshipindia.gov.in.
CEO, SKIIE Designated as Nodal Officer
The university has designated the CEO, SKIIE, SKUAST-K as the Nodal Officer for the registration process.
As stated in the circular, the Nodal Officer will monitor the registration process at the university level. The officer will also coordinate with the concerned faculties to facilitate maximum participation of eligible students in the apprenticeship scheme.
The university has accordingly placed responsibility for monitoring and coordination at the university level with the designated Nodal Officer.
Faculties Asked to Encourage Student Registration
The circular also directs the Deans/Associate Deans of Subject Matter Faculties/Colleges to take necessary steps at the faculty level.
Their role includes disseminating information regarding the apprenticeship scheme among students. They have also been asked to motivate eligible students to register themselves on the Apprenticeship India Portal.
In addition to encouraging registration, the concerned authorities have been asked to monitor the progress of registration within their respective faculties.
The directions are aimed at ensuring that information about the National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme reaches eligible students across the concerned faculties and colleges of SKUAST-K.
Consolidated Registration List to Be Forwarded
The university circular states that a consolidated list of registrations is to be forwarded by 13.09.2026 to the CEO, SKIIE, SKUAST-K.
The list is to be sent through the email address skiiecentre@skuastkashmir.in.
