The Jammu and Kashmir Board of Professional Entrance Examinations (JKBOPEE) has started the online registration process for candidates from the Union Territories of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh who have qualified the NEET UG 2026 examination. According to Notification No. 139-BOPEE of 2026 dated August 6, 2026, eligible candidates are required to complete their registration and upload the prescribed documents within the notified schedule for inclusion in the Provisional UT Merit List (PUTML).
Registration Schedule
As per the notification, the online registration portal will remain open from August 7, 2026, at 2:00 PM until midnight on August 10, 2026. The registration process is meant for eligible candidates belonging to the UTs of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh who have qualified NEET UG 2026 by securing the cut-off marks prescribed by the National Testing Agency (NTA).
The notification also covers candidates whose names were not included in the previously issued Annexure-A but who are domiciles of J&K or Ladakh and had submitted the required documents in response to earlier notifications issued by JKBOPEE. These candidates are also eligible to register online within the specified dates.

JKBOPEE has directed applicants to upload the necessary documents while completing the online registration process. These include:
NEET UG 2026 score card

The Board has also clarified that OBC, EWS, and Poor & Backward (P&B) category certificates must be issued according to the prescribed format applicable to the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir.
Special Requirements for Hindu Minority and NRI Seats
Candidates seeking admission under the Hindu Minority (HM) quota in ASCOMS are required to upload a valid Hindu Minority Certificate issued by the competent authority along with the prescribed supporting documents.

Important Instructions for Candidates
The Board has advised candidates not to use mobile phones while registering or uploading documents. Applicants are encouraged to carefully read the NEET UG 2026 e-Information Brochure before beginning the registration process.
JKBOPEE has also made it clear that under-process certificates will not be accepted. The validity of category certificates will be determined with reference to the last date of registration, which is August 10, 2026. Candidates must satisfy all eligibility conditions specified in both the NTA Information Brochure and the JKBOPEE Information Brochure.
The Board stated that any candidate found ineligible at any stage will not be permitted to participate in the counselling process, regardless of registration or qualifying score. Candidates have also been advised to provide valid email addresses and mobile numbers for official communication and avoid sharing their login credentials with others.
Provisional UT Merit List and Counselling
According to JKBOPEE, after the registration process concludes, the Board will prepare and publish the Provisional UT Merit List (PUTML). This merit list will serve as the basis for the online counselling process, during which eligible candidates will submit their course and college preferences. Seat allotment will be carried out on the basis of this counselling process.
The notification further states that candidates who fail to register, do not upload the required documents, or submit incomplete documentation will not be considered for seat allotment, even if they fall within the qualifying merit.
Candidates Advised Not to Wait Until the Last Date
JKBOPEE has urged candidates to complete the registration process well before the closing date, noting that admissions to professional colleges are time-bound. The Board also advised applicants to regularly visit the official JKBOPEE website for updates instead of waiting for newspaper notifications, which may be delayed.
The Board has clarified that mere registration does not guarantee admission. Admission will remain subject to fulfillment of all eligibility conditions and successful verification of documents at the time of admission to the allotted institution.
