IOB Recruitment 2026: Online Applications Open, Check Eligibility, Exam Pattern & Fee

The last date to apply for the recruitment process is September 15, 2026. Interested and eligible candidates are advised to complete the online application process before the deadline and carefully check all the requirements mentioned in the official notification.
Eligibility Criteria
Candidates can check the required educational qualifications and age limit in the Detailed Notification issued for the recruitment. Applicants should ensure that they meet all the prescribed eligibility conditions before submitting their applications.
Selection Process
The selection of candidates will be carried out through an Online Examination followed by an Interview. Candidates who qualify in the Online Examination will be shortlisted and called for a personal interview.
Merely fulfilling the prescribed eligibility criteria will not guarantee a candidate's participation in the Online Examination or Interview. Candidates must qualify at the relevant stages of the selection process to move forward.
Examination Pattern
The objective Online Examination will have a total duration of 2 hours. Separate timings will be provided for each section of the examination, and candidates will have to attempt the sections within their respective allotted time.
There will be no minimum qualifying marks prescribed for the General Awareness and English Language sections for any post. However, candidates will be required to meet the overall minimum qualifying marks prescribed for the Online Examination.
Qualifying Marks
The minimum qualifying marks in the Online Examination have been prescribed at 30% for reserved category candidates and 35% for unreserved category candidates. Candidates should meet the applicable qualifying requirement to remain eligible for the next stage.
Negative Marking
The examination will include negative marking for incorrect answers. One-fourth (1/4th) of the marks allotted to the respective question will be deducted for every wrong answer. No marks will be deducted for questions that are left unanswered.
Application Fees
The application fee is ₹175 for SC/ST/PWD category candidates, while ₹1,000 is applicable to all other candidates, including those belonging to the OBC and EWS categories.
Mode of Payment
Candidates who successfully submit their Online Application can proceed to pay the applicable intimation charges through Online Mode. The payment can be made through options such as Debit Card, Credit Card, Internet Banking, BHIM and UPI.

Selection Process
